Great success in Houston! The Chorus and Aftershock! Quartet had a fantastic time in Houston.
The chorus were placed 11th after the semi-finals, so were delighted to be able to perform again on stage on chorus finals day as the mic testing chorus.
We're proud of Aftershock! with their 35th placing and it was great to be able to be there to cheer them on.

The Christchurch City Chorus is New Zealand's premier chorus of dynamic, vital and exciting female performers who sing, dance, learn, and teach the art of vocal a cappella and barbershop-style. Barbershop singing is four-part harmony a cappella music that is deliberately voiced and arranged with musical chords that lock and ring to produce overtones and a spine chilling thrill for the singer and listener.

Our chorus is a show chorus who love to entertain audiences in many different environments from conferences to garden parties, from Carnegie Hall to Calgary. We provide a musical escape for many busy women from all walks of life, in a place where you can meet interesting people who share the common bond of music. Our Wednesday evening rehearsals effervesce with musical fun and achievement, our entertainment second to none. We pride ourselves on performances which present a repertoire of show songs; modern, jazz; pop, blues and poignant ballads. We present an exemplary musical product, stunning showmanship and choreography and gorgeous costumes.
